An easy breakfast and the perfect use of day or two old bread, along with whatever seasonal fruit you have on hand. Of course this can be adjusted to feed more, but, in these crazy times with more solitude than typical, it’s the perfect time to treat yourself to this warm and comforting breakfast.
Two Slices of Bread
In a flat dish mix together with a fork:
1/3 Cup Milk – whatever you have, I often use Almond.
1 tsp Vanilla
½ tsp Cinnamon
¼ tsp clove
While soaking sliced bread in Egg/Milk mixture, heat a skillet generously coated with oil (veg or coconut) over medium-high heat,
When oil is hot, cook on each side until nicely browned and a little crispy.
Serve with fresh fruit and maple syrup.
